At Dune, it's all about saying, "Welcome to the Bahamas!" Here, you can expect fine dining with French-Asian-inspired dishes that create the perfect balance through a touch of Caribbean lightness. With this blog, we'd like to give you a small insight into a visit to Dune and inspire you for your next trip to the Bahamas.
A Taste of Paradise: The Menu at Dune Restaurant Bahamas
Dune is located at the Four Seasons Hotel, overlooking the crystal-clear ocean and the white sandy beach. It is, of course, surrounded by palm trees where you'll enjoy bistro-style fine dining at its best.
From the moment you arrive, you'll quickly realize that even the simplest dish is elevated to a whole new level. You leave not only with an exceptional culinary experience but also with a truly special feeling.
Island Beginnings: Welcome and service at Dune
In case you didn't know, the service in the Bahamas is among the friendliest you'll ever experience. Everything is focused on making you feel comfortable, and here, the guest always comes first.
We were warmly escorted to our table, handed the menu right away, and, because of the hot temperatures, quickly served refreshing drinks. Besides the classic soft drinks, there are also signature cocktails that you definitely shouldn't miss. My personal recommendation: the Pineapple Mojito. Of course, we were also served a small appetizer. With warm, crispy ciabatta and olive oil, the wait for our starter passed by in no time.
The Heart of the Table: Sharing plates and starter
During our visit to Dune, we decided to try the concept of sharing plates. This gave us the pleasure of enjoying the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare and the Burrata. Both dishes sound simple at first, but you will be amazed by what has been created from them. The tartare consisted of tuna, avocado, and spicy radish, marinated in a ginger marinade. It was like a wake-up call for the palate – fresh, aromatic, and with a pleasant touch of spice.
The burrata, on the other hand, brought a lovely warmth to the culinary experience with its strawberry compote. The creaminess and sweetness harmonize perfectly, and together with the toasted ciabatta bread, it is a first-class choice for a starter. The entire starter felt like a warm embrace.

Soul Food Meets Luxury
Salad, burger, or pizza - what would be your choice? The Green Asparagus & Avocado Salad is refined with Toasted Pistachio, Pecorino Cheese, Lime & Lovage, allowing a nutty aroma to meet a salty note, making every bite a new taste experience. This salad definitely brings structure and flavour together.
The Crispy Chicken Burger, on the other hand, perfectly combines the acidity of the Yuzu Pickles with the crispiness of the chicken. It is naturally served with French Fries, which are crispy, perfectly seasoned, and quickly become the ideal snack for the entire table.
The Black Truffle with Cheese & Farm Egg Pizza is my absolute favourite and, to be honest, I knew from the very beginning that this was the dish I was going to order. It is comfort food – but on a luxurious level. Here, it’s not about lightness but about maximum flavour. The dough is soft, the crust wonderfully crispy. The cheese blends seamlessly with the egg in the centre to create a creamy combination, while the truffle adds its distinctive earthy taste. Simply a flavour explosion and an absolute recommendation.
Sweet Paradise: Desserts
Attention, I’m now taking you on the journey of our dessert tour: How does Salted Caramel Ice Cream with Candied Peanuts and Popcorn sound to you? Like a childhood dream come true, right? And that’s exactly how it tastes – sweet, salty, and crunchy come together here and harmonize perfectly. The very first spoonful awakens nostalgic memories.
A modern classic is the Crème Fraîche Cheesecake. With tropical fruits and Yuzu Sorbet, this cake is given a personal touch while bringing the Bahamian experience back into the journey.
For me, the Banana Cake lives by the motto, “Just like home, only much better.” Baking the perfect banana cake is really not easy – but Dune manages to do exactly that. The taste can be compared to floating on a cloud.
My personal highlight is the Warm Chocolate Cake with Coconut Sorbet. Here, hot and cold as well as rich and light come together. The molten centre speaks for itself – a master chef has definitely been at work here.
Our Dune Restaurant Review: Worth Every Bite
As you have probably noticed, the restaurant Dune specializes in combining fine dining with soul food – and the way it does so is truly unique and incredibly good. Tropical luxury is combined with the feeling of being at home. No dish is too abstract, as everything is designed to harmonize together on the table. Food plays an emotional role here, and of course, there is also the breathtaking view.
So, one thing is certain: you definitely shouldn’t miss this restaurant during your visit to the Bahamas.
