The Funky Eatery has everything. A bakery, a deli and a restaurant (or eatery). It also is influenced by treats and eats from all over the world, but with local and organic ingredients. French croissants, Polish/Ukrainian babka, San Sebastian style cheesecake from the Basque region – the place is multicultural.

Catalan Cuisine with two Michelin stars, this is Cinc Sentis. Self-taught chef-owner Jordi Artal and Maitre-owner Amèlia Artal are the masterminds behind the buzzing upscale high-end tasting menus of Cinc Sentis. The name comes from the goal of stimulating all five taste senses. 

The restaurant is located in the Eixample neighborhood. It is famous for their cured and seared mackerel and sea bass. Artal enjoys working with raw ingredients, as locally and small sourced as possible.

Tip #9: Blu Bar

Blu Bar is offering a 100% plant based menu in Rambla del Poblenou in the Sant Martí district. The restaurant with an extensive outdoor seating area features healthy bowls, lots of gluten-free options, Gourmet sandwiches and homebrewed Kombucha. 

The restaurant is not only beloved for the food, but also for the alcoholic and zero proof cocktails, fresh juices, local wines and beer are on the menu as well.

Martinez adds the most beautiful view to the meal. On a giant wooden deck, overlooking the city and sea, seafood paella and tapas tastes even better. Oysters, Caviar and 40 days dry-aged beef from the grill makes the spot a decadent choice.

A restaurant with the name Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha, must be cool – and yes it is. The funky, cool pizza place opened the doors in May 2017 and quickly became a foodie and trendsetter place. 

In the meantime there are two locations in Barcelona. Both are dedicated to high quality ingredients, stone milled flours and dough resting times of 72 hours. The menu features pizza, pasta and typical Italian desserts.
