No matter if omnivore or veggie — La Verdulería pleases customers of all kinds. The Vegetarian restaurant, with mostly Spanish and South American inspired menu, serves vegetarian and vegan dishes and is not afraid to let the taste buds travel to other countries as well.

Mexican, Vietnamese or Indian Specials can be found on the menu and staff is aware of all kinds of dietary restrictions, including gluten-free. A daily menu is featured during the week and can be enjoyed in the cozy, colorful and casual restaurant.

The luxury Royal Hideaway Corales Beach hotel is home of San Hô. This restaurant is awarded with one star in the Michelin guide Spain 2024 and features a Japanese-Peruvian-Canarian fusion kitchen. Locally sourced ingredients are the major role player in the kitchen of the award winning chef Adrián Bosch, recognized as the best chef in the Canary Islands. 

Look the chefs over the shoulder, cooking your meal, in the large counter seating area. You can also enjoy the haute cuisine in the contemporary dining room with panoramic windows, or the terrace, overlooking the garden and sea.

Two tasting menus ‘Esencia’ and ‘San Hô’ are available, a ten and twelve course menu. The restaurant requires advanced booking and the minimum age to access the restaurant is 16 years.

This charming little restaurant is a local gem and one of the best restaurants in south Tenerife. It invites guests on a culinary journey of their local, traditional and Mediterranean cuisine.

The cozy place with tasteful decor, operated by a young team of restaurant professionals, offers an extensive brunch, lunch, dinner and snack menu. 

Guests can choose from a wide variety of baguette and mini sandwiches, focaccia, stuffed croissants, toasts and pancakes for breakfast and brunch. A huge burger menu for lunch and dinner features, for example, the Flojito Supreme XXL burger.

Plant based eaters will enjoy Papona varieties, baked potatoes stuffed with different ingredients.

The menu invites the guest with a great variety of starters, the restaurant is especially proud of their housemade croquettes, with smooth texture and unmistakable flavor. 

The cozy family restaurant in an old Canarian house, in the North of Tenerife, is also very well known for excellent wine and outstanding desserts. No matter if you choose the three milk cake with baked meringue and palm honey, or the Mommy cake with cookies and coffee, you will certainly not be disappointed.

The restaurant has vegan options very clearly marked in their menu and is a plant based friendly eatery.

Bloom is known for its excellent and luxurious breakfast. Smoked salmon, poached eggs and in fact eggs in all variations, for breakfast and brunch lovers, are on the menu of the restaurant.

Located in the little town of La Caleta, Bloom is not only a spot for visitors of the island, but also for locals. It stays open until late at night and features a lunch menu, bar snack menu and fancy cocktails as well. 

Burgers and Bowls, loaded pancakes or waffles with Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, Fresh Avocado and Poached Eggs and house made artisan pastries, like ‚The Swan‘ or Chocolate Eclair Bloom is worth a visit.

A separate plant based menu makes it easy for Vegetarians and Vegans to choose from Bloom’s creative meatless dishes. Their fun drink menu is excellent for a night out at the bar. Signature Cocktails, Wine, Champagne and Gin Trees go very well with Bloom´s delicious bar snacks.

Another outstanding restaurant in the little town of La Caleta is Mirlo. The Mediterranean fusion restaurant offers a breathtaking view with every meal.

Seafood lovers enjoy Mirlo’s Tapas like Tuna Tartar, Sea Ceviche and Octopus Carpaccio. The main courses are not shy on fish specialities either: Salmon Fillet Cantonese Style, marinated Tuna Tataki and Galician Style Octopus. 

The separate vegan menu makes it easy for plant based eaters to enjoy local ingredients and traditional meals. Canary potatoes with mojo sauce, Mediterranean salad and Tomato Tartare with guacamole and radish combine plant based eating with tradition.

In the heart of La Laguna, enjoy the best coffee and cakes at Makika&Co. The family owned café and bakery opened the doors in February 2016 and has pleased locals and tourists with a sweet tooth. The French specialty bakery bakes everything in house and serves it on a beautiful patio of an antique 18th century house. 

Coffee lovers will enjoy Makika’s specialty coffee, which is served from the early morning until the afternoon. Savory pastry items can be found on the menu as well and range from a good variety of quiches to croissants and sandwiches.

Freshly pressed juice varieties and milkshakes for hot days are on their drink menu. The pastry menu reads nicely, and it’s hard to decide between Tartaletes fruity or chocolaty, rich and decadent brownies and moist carrot cakes.

In the heart of San Eugenio, the Tenerife Beer Garden is a fun place to spend some time. Live UK sports, an almost always sunny patio, seven days a week – a wide selection of beer and spirits, but also a great place to hang out and eat. The Tenerife Beer Garden is well known for their homemade burger patties with 100% beef and a side of hand cut fries. 

Having breakfast at the Beer Garden in Tenerife is quite popular, even among locals. A full English Breakfast with bacon, sausage, egg, hash browns, baked beans and tomatoes can be enjoyed with a delicious Bloody Mary, the traditional breakfast drink. Prices are inexpensive and burger, bagel and salad options for Vegetarians and Vegans are available.
