LE PETIT CHEF & FRIENDS

Le Petit Chef is just 6 cm tall, and he will not grow any bigger. According to legend, he was born in April 2015 in Marseille, France. Enjoy an unforgettable experience with delightful dining and entertainment. By using a profound artistic knowledge, and combining it with the latest technology, his "parents" - the art directors of Skullmapping - tell stories with stunning bespoke visuals, such as “Le Petit Chef”. The technology they use is called 3D Projection Mapping. We promise, it will capture your imagination :)

The show is paired with themed music, props, and an exquisite menu. A miniature chef to life on your dinner table, all through the magic of visual mapping. By mapping your dining table and the objects on it (e.g. your plates and cutlery), we are able to project a virtual story onto the tabletop. The 3D effect is often thought of as a hologram or a 3D projection. In fact the use of special optical techniques, length distortions from the right angle to produce the effect or illusion of 3D.

To ensure that all guests enjoy this unique dining experience, we would like to ask that all members of your party are present at least 15 minutes prior to your booking. Latecomers will be allowed into the room at an appropriate interval. Late comers might not be served all courses of the menu.

Where is the event being held?
The event is being held at the Velvet Glove restaurant, located inside of Fairmont Winnipeg
hotel.

When are the shows?
Beginning October 12 th 2023, shows will be on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings
from 5:30pm.

Do you offer gluten free / dairy free ?
You are welcome to choose your desired menu. Please make a note in the comments specifying your preference for a gluten-free or lactose-free option. 

What are the cancellation policies?
Once paid, the deposit (20%) and the purchase price of any "Le Petit Chef" or "Junior Chef’" menus and
associated add-ons are non-refundable. However, diners are able to make changes to their
reservation up to 48 hours prior to the original booking date by
contacting Velvet.Glove@Fairmont.com or +1 204 985 6255.

Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Velvet Glove restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

Is parking possible? If yes, which is the cost?
Yes, valet parking is available for $31, or self-parking is available at the Richardson Centre
Parkade

For your convenience, we would like to inform you that our partner, Richardson Parkade, is currently undergoing a parking elevator modernization project. During this period, only stairs will be available for access. To ensure your comfort and a smooth access to the hotel, we kindly recommend all our guests to proceed to the main hotel entrance we offer two convenient parking options: self-parking with access via split staircases and valet parking services.

How long does one show last?
The show and dining experience will take about 2 hours. We ask that all guests arrive 15
minutes prior.

Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code. Please dress appropriately for the occasion.

Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome.

Can you accommodate groups of six and more?
Tables are set for two or four. Unfortunately, we cannot combine tables for large groups.
However, we can seat groups near one another as much as possible.
